ENERGY COMMISSION
- Coordinated a 100kw AC roof-mounted solar photovoltaic project on the Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) with ReVision Energy while utilizing an Investment Tax Credit (ITC) to cover 30% of the cost. [Source]
- Evaluated Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) with Energy Efficient Investments (EEI) to look for budget neutral opportunities to improve energy efficiency via auditing municipal buildings. [Source]
- Replaced an old 2000 John Deere 455H loader with new 2025 JCB compact loader to decrease emissions over 50% while utilizing a NH Clean Diesel Grant funded by the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to cover 25% of the replacement cost. [Source]
- Recommended entering a short-term contract with the Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire (CPCNH) for a Group Net Metering (GNM) proposal that would generate a new revenue stream to the budget from our energy demand. [Source]
- Supported the implementation of a No Idling Administrative Regulation for City employees in City vehicles for longer than 5 minutes, with reasonable exceptions, in order to combat air pollution and fuel waste. [Source]
- Utilized the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program by the Department of Energy (DOE) to buy a new Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck and related Level 2 charging equipment. [Source]
- Drafted a Request for Proposal (RFP) to install 2 Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at the new waterfront development while trying to be eligible for the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) community grant program. [Source]
- Engaged in community outreach about energy efficiency at Apple Harvest Day by hosting a Dover Saves event with participation of 14 different organizations (e.g. Clean Energy NH, NH Department of Environmental Services, Seacoast Climate Action Now, etc.). [Source]
- Partnered with Dover Public Library to make a Thermal Imaging Camera available for loan at the library of things. [Source]
- Participated in the Seacoast Solar Challenge where Dover, Portsmouth, Newmarket, Durham and Exeter competed to see which communities would opt-up to higher amounts of renewable energy the most. [Source]
